(Inundation; Torrent) In the dream flood denotes attack by the enemy, harm, destruction, sickness, a very difficult journey or the flooding of a town. If a person dreams that he sees the water of a flood flowing towards a river; this predicts that dreamer will escape the machinations of a dangerous adversary. If one dreams that he sees himself fighting against a flood or trying to prevent it from entering his house; this denotes that such one is protecting his house and property against enemy attack. If however, one dreams that people benefit from the flood as their wells and dams are well supplied; then the dream predicts a bountiful harvest and a prosperous year, or it could also denote strong dams and good irrigation. In the dream a flood stands for lies and hypocrisy, wasting of a person’s speech or an outright falsehood. If one dreams that he sees his town flooded with blood instead of water; this warns that the wrath of God Almighty is against his town and that the people will be punished for their sins.
