(Changing hide into leather or curing leather; Dye) In the dream, to see a tanner means that same as seeing a cupper because both experts cure something. (See Cupping). If a person dreams that he sees a physician turned into a tanner; this stands for such person’s expertise and those who benefit from his cares. If a person dreams that he sees a tanner and that the tanning is not faulty; such dream denotes a non-professional person. Where seeing a tanner in one’s dream is interpreted to indicate material benefits; it means that the seer will escape from an untimely death. Where the tanner is related to religious matters in the dream, it means indicates feeding the hungry and providing for the poor during a very trying period such as time of famine or draught. In the dream, a tanner could also stand for a peace maker, a guardian or a physician. It is, however, also possible to interpret a tanner to denote an unjust person, distress or adversities.
